So I have… Err… No readers… Oh dear.
This may in the main part be due to the nefariously awful ode to a tree I barbarically inflicted upon you! Therefore I apologise profusely and must rely upon my sanguine disposition and your leniency to sustain me through this quagmire of mortification!

In English: “I probably have no readers because I wrote an awful poem about a tree, so I apologise. I will rely on my positive outlook and your forgiveness to help me through my embarrassment. “

Here is a peace-offering poem that I wrote a while back:

A glitch in time,
When in the mind
A stolen breath
Is left behind;
Stolen from death
A moment when,
An empty shell
May breathe again.
No ears to hear
Can this breath give,
Just lips to speak
And love to live;
And minute up,
Must he depart?
To leave behind,
A broken heart.
A blessèd gift
Or looming curse?
A final end?
And which is worse…
A full stops death?
Or bloody gash?
Now winds will rise,
And thunder clash!

Hello! I know you well and thereupon I realise such avid readers as yourselves are undoubtedly locked in prodigious suspense, awaiting my next blog!

So here it is…
Every year I visit the riverbank. Every year I see my tree on the other side. I’ve never touched it’s bark. I’ve never climbed up through it’s branches. Still I visit my tree on the riverbank. I stand there only feet away, yet separated. I leave no lasting impression of myself on the tree. All I do is watch it from a distance. And yet the tree has left a lasting impression on me.

I stand and watch,
I do not touch,
I do not let you know I’m here.

A step away,
Unreachable,
So far away and yet so near.

It’s something else,
Invisible,
A wall that separates our lives,

I move away,
Unseen by you,
Only my memory survives.

Firstly I must thank Akiyama for hosting this site, we’ve talked of it before but I was never sure it would come into existence (thanks, in the most part, to the exorbitant workload bestowed upon us by excessively zealous teachers).

Now it is a reality, I hope to live up to the challenge of regular updates, a challenge which often surpasses the best of us.
